12-19-13 Ethel's Birthday

Some people have been asking me if I will be watching the "Newly Colorized CBS I Love Lucy Holiday Special". And, I really think it is way cool that you have been asking, so I am going to answer that here and now. Nope. 

I don't need too. I have I love Lucy on my iTunes and the DVD collection, I have both episodes and love them. I already LOOOOVE the show (Obviously Right) so I don't need it colorized to enjoy the series. I like the black and white, the lighting, the sets, the backgrounds. 

While I will say that the upgraded digital paint job looks much better then that Ted Turner hack job of the past, I really don't see a need for it. Colorizing it just to show a younger generation what a good show looked like in the past, seems rather silly to me. If you don't like what was already so awesome for so many years, why would the pastel paint job make it better?

Now one cute Fan ask me why I colorize Lucy and if it was the same thing? The answer is, what I am doing is art. I can do what I want…  I am not trying to sell DVD's to future generations.
